Combat is exceptionally well-crafted, allowing you to deploy tactical abilities with devastating precision. Highly customizable difficulty options make it accessible for everyone without diluting the brutal challenge. The game successfully channels the pure spirit of classic DOOM while feeling cutting-edge. Controls are remarkably smooth on both gamepad and mouse & keyboard. However, repetitive gate-opening puzzles, predictable demon spawn formations, and clunky aerial flight segments slightly hold back the pacing.

Visually stunning with top-tier asset and armor modeling. Texture fidelity is on an elite level right out of the box—eliminating any need for graphical mods to achieve maximum immersion. While a few environmental visual effects could be further polished, native 4K clarity is superb. PC performance remains rock-solid and smooth, falling just slightly short of 100% perfection during heavy particle-dense skirmishes.

The dark, medieval-industrial world is gorgeous and begs to be explored. Several expansive battlefields offer great exploration opportunities and hidden secrets, contrasted by more restrictive linear combat corridors. Replay value shines brightly thanks to modular difficulty adjustments and combat trials that actively encourage tackling higher challenges on subsequent playthroughs.

The soundtrack and acoustic direction are near perfection. The crushing blend of medieval instruments, low-tuned heavy metal riffs, and industrial basslines fuels an adrenaline rush with every battle. The acoustic weight of the Shield Saw, bone-crunching flail strikes, and demon roar acoustics establish an unrivaled, blood-pumping atmosphere.
