CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS 7

GRAPHICS SETTINGS

MAXIMUM FIDELITY & COMPETITIVE PERFORMANCE

My configuration is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, enabling visual fidelity pushed to the absolute limit without sacrificing fluid frame pacing. However, competitive optimization is always about finding the ideal balance between visual beauty and target acquisition. Below is my maximum fidelity configuration alongside a dedicated competitive profile for maximum refresh rate monitors.

VRAM NOTE If you are playing on a system with limited VRAM (8GB–12GB), lower the Texture Resolution and Shadow Quality to maintain strict frame-rate stability.
01

DISPLAY & QUALITY (RTX 5090 CONFIG)

Pushed to maximum graphical presets while strictly eliminating competitive latency.

Global Graphics Quality ULTRA

My hardware handles maximum graphical detail with ease. High-resolution texture maps, pristine anisotropic filtering, and detailed environmental geometry provide unrivaled visual immersion.

MANDATORY EXCEPTION: RAY TRACING IS OFF Regardless of how powerful your GPU is, Ray Tracing adds visual clutter, unpredictable frame-drops, and micro-input latency that must be avoided in competitive multiplayer.
Upscaling / Sharpening DLSS QUALITY

Even on a 5090, NVIDIA DLSS Quality is superior to DLAA. While DLAA renders natively at heavy cost, DLSS Quality powered by modern Super Resolution models delivers razor-sharp asset reconstruction that matches native 4K while unlocking significantly smoother frame-pacing.

ALTERNATIVE

COMPETITIVE MAX FPS FOCUS (144HZ / 240HZ+)

If you are playing on mid-range hardware or prioritize raw FPS over cinematic graphics, use this configuration:

  • Textures & Geometry: Lower to Low / Normal to free up VRAM and maximize draw speeds.
  • DLSS Preset: Switch to Balanced or Performance mode for maximum frame throughput.
  • Shadow & Lighting: Set Screen Space Shadows and Volumetrics to Low to remove dark visual obstructions in corners.
02

VIEW & CAMERA

Peripheral information is key, but over-zoomed angles can obscure long-range hitboxes.

Field of View (FOV) 120

Provides the maximum tactical peripheral awareness to detect flanking enemies and slide-challengers instantly.

RECOMMENDATION If you struggle to spot targets at long ranges, lower this to 105 – 115 to make enemy character models appear larger on screen.
ADS Field of View AFFECTED

Scales ADS zoom to match your selected FOV. This significantly dampens visual weapon bounce and perceived recoil kick during sustained fire.

Motion Blur (World & Weapon) DISABLED

Must always be turned Off. Eliminates pixel smearing during high-speed 180° camera turns, keeping enemy silhouettes crisp and readable at all times.
